After going viral with his novel program, “Modyul Baylo Bugas”, Toboso Mayor Richard Jaojoco is at it again.
Jaojoco, responding to concerns of Tobosenos who serve as “watchers” at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, rented a newly-finished, fully-furnished apartment near the CLMMRH so that his constituents attending to their patients in Bacolod City will have roof over their heads.
Since the management of CLMMRH stopped allowing “watchers” of patients from staying inside hospital premises during the pandemic, some complained that they have been exposed to elements that threaten their health with the onset of the rainy season.
The housing for Toboseno “watchers” in Bacolod can accommodate about 16 persons, Jaojoco said.
Jaojoco made news nationwide last week when he introduced the “Modyul Baylo Bugas” program, a first in the country, that provides a kilo of rice per pupil after complaince of his learning module.
The MBB program, originally bannered by Negros Weekly news magazine and its online edition, Negros Now Daily (www.negrosnowdaily.com), benefits more than 10,000 students from Toboso’s 26 public schools and 2 private learning centers.
The story was featured on the official FB Pages of the Department of Education–the DepEd TAYO and DepEd Philippines–with over 125,800 people reached. ETLoretizo
