Art Cove, the esteemed art gallery nestled within Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, is hosting Negrosanon visual artist Revo Yanson’s solo exhibition, titled “Echoes of the Forest: A Visual Ode to Nature”.
The exhibit, which opened March 6, will run until June 1 this year.
“Echoes of the Forest” represents a significant moment for Art Cove, as it marks the return of a previous artist, symbolizing Park Inn’s commitment to nurturing local talent.
“As we enter our third year of hosting exhibits, Art Cove continues to be a vibrant space where Negrosanon artists flourish, captivating visitors with authentic showcases. Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod pledges ongoing support for these artistic journeys,” Archie Javellana, Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod’s Rooms Division manager, said.
The exhibit promises to be a captivating exploration of nature’s beauty and the human connection to the natural world.
Through his masterful strokes and intricate details, Yanson invites viewers on a profound visual journey into the heart of the forest, encouraging contemplation and fostering a deeper appreciation for the world around us.
Yanson is renowned for his expertise in both traditional painting and digital arts, delving into the psychological and metaphysical aspects of existence to widespread acclaim. His works are known to go beyond societal limits, providing deep insights into the human mind.
Throughout his illustrious career, Yanson has exhibited a deep commitment to the arts and the local community.
He has served as the chairperson of Dihon, the visual art sector of the Concerned Artists of the Philippines-Negros, and co-founded ArtTambay, a multi-disciplinary art collective. Additionally, he co-manages Galleria G, an artist-run space in Bacolod, further enriching the local artistic landscape.
With five solo exhibitions and participation in group shows in Negros Occidental and Los Angeles, USA, Yanson has established himself as a visionary artist with a diverse range of talents on both local and international stage.
At the opening program, Yanson delivered his exhibit statement in the form of a “binalaybay”, accompanied by friends from the art industry, Ryn Paul Gonzales on bamboo flute, and Mike Borromeo on guitar.
Aside from Yanson, the ribbon-cutting was also led by Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr., and deputy ambassador of the Netherlands to Indonesia, Adriaan Palm, assisted by Javellana, and Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo and Bacolod’s area general manager Sherwin Lucas.
