Cebuano cue artist dominates VG Jeffrey Ferrer 10-ball tilt

Cebuano billiards sensation Jerson Cumayas took home P400,000 in cash after defeating veteran Jundel Mazon to rule the 1st Vice Governor Jeffrey Padilla Ferrer 10-Ball Open Tournament at SM City Bacolod Atrium on Saturday (Feb. 17).

Cumayas, 27, won the last three racks to score 11 as against Mazon’s seven.

He beat Ruben Cuña 9-5 to reach the finals while Mazon scored an impressive come-from-behind wins against John Vincent Vicedo and Kyle Amoroto in the semi-finals.

Mazon took home P150,000.

A total of 131 players joined the week-long tournament which started on Feb. 12.

Ferrer said the sports event aims at giving billiard players and enthusiasts in Negros Occidental the chance to showcase their talents and skills. | GB
