Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, said July 14 that the investigation on the discovery of two bullets at the Food Terminal Market of Occidental Negros (FTMON) July 3 is not “case closed” yet, following the identification of its owner, who is a job order employee assigned at the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
Diaz’s statement was in contrast to the claims of Renelo Lastierre, head of the Capitol Security and Safety Division, that the bullets are owned by someone assigned to a military intelligence unit, who claimed that the ammunition fell from his bag.
Diaz said he will recommend the termination of the JO casual employee, adding that somebody might have told the latter on what to do.
The provincial administrator said he believes that the discovery of the two bullets was intentional to coincide with the renewal of contracts of JOs and Contract of Service employees.
Lastierre, who supervises more than 50 Capitol-paid watchmen, earlier admitted that four of his personnel were not re-hired.
Diaz, meanwhile, said they are looking at evidences to establish whoever is responsible for the bullets found on the stairs at FTMON.
There seems to be “a conspiracy to sabotage” the operation of the provincial government, he added./GB
