Oil companies will implement a uniform increase in the pump prices of petroleum products effective April 26.

Caltex Philippines, Unioil, and Jetti Petroleum, in their advisories, said they will hike diesel by P4.10 per liter, and gasoline by P3 per liter.

The price of kerosene will also increase by P3.50 per liter, Caltex said.

Other companies are expected to implement similar increases, to reflect the changes in the international market.

Another round of fuel price increase takes effect on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Last week, diesel prices increased by P1.70 per liter, and gasoline by P0.45 per liter.

The Department of Energy also warned of continuous increases in the costs of petroleum products due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“The DOE is closely monitoring global oil supply and price movements, in coordination with our downstream oil industry players,” it said and reiterated its appeal for everyone to observe energy efficiency and conservation measures./CGC
