The recommendation to recall the 60-day preventive suspension issued against Provincial Human Resource Management Office head Felomina Gozon and Daidie Lopez was approved yesterday by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, said Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Alberto Nellas Jr.
But Nellas said the investigations on the charges of falsification of documents and dishonesty against Gozon and Lopez will continue.
In recommending the recall of the preventive suspension, Nellas said “there is no apparent instance, wherein, they will be tampering the evidence and to influence the witnesses”.

He said the 60-day preventive suspension was a matter of procedure after both Gozon and Lopez were served formal charges based on the complaints against them.
“The purpose of the preventive suspension is to safeguard the investigation and to prevent tampering of evidences or influencing of witnesses by the respondents,” Nellas said.
From the period that a show cause order had been issued against them and the issuance of a formal charge on March 2, Nellas said there was no complaint against Gozon and Lopez, neither any irregularity was committed while both are working at HRMO.
The administrative complaints filed against the two employees stemmed from the alleged unauthorized alteration of documents.
Gozon is a member of the Selection Committee that supervises the screening, hiring and promotion of Capitol employees, while Lopez works in the Secretariat of the same committee.
Nellas added that the two respondents, who strongly denied the allegations, assured him of their cooperation during the investigations of the Legal Office. | GB
