Members of the Bukluran ng Mambubukid sa Pilipinas marched along downtown Bacolod this morning, Feb. 24, to demand for a minimum P750 national living wage for all workers across the country.
They carried streamers pushing for job security and tenure through the dismantling of what they called the manpower agency system, and for stronger protection of unionism by encouraging workers to form labor unions and to have collective bargaining agreements.
With a national living wage, the group said the Regional Wages and Productivity Boards should be abolished.
The BMP said they are supporting the advocacy agenda Bacolodnon senatorial candidate, Atty. Luke Espiritu, under the Partido Lakas ng Masa of presidential aspirant Leody de Guzman. | MML
