The Bacolod City Police Office seized a total of 278.348 grams of shabu, worth P1,892,766.40, from 42 police operations it conducted in December.
Its different units also arrested 51 drug personalities, including 42 drug pushers and nine drug users, while 76 cases were filed in court for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The BCPO also arrested 29 persons for illegal gambling and confiscated P2,354 in bet money, with 12 cases filed in court.
In the campaign against loose firearms, 13 police operations resulted in the arrest of two violators and the confiscation of two homemade firearms. Seven homemade guns, two explosives, and one small firearm were surrendered under Oplan Katok, also in December, the police added.– MML
