Some 94 workers assigned at the San Carlos City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) in Negros Occidental all tested negative for the use of illegal drugs.

This was confirmed by its head, Joe Rocalex Alingasa, based  on the results of the seventh round of drug testing of city government employees conducted

last week as part of the efforts of the administration of Mayor Renato Gustilo to get rid of drug users among its workforce.

Alingasa said that he has been constantly reminding CDRRMO employees of their liability should they be involved in the use of illegal drugs.

Ten job order workers were fired from their jobs, after testing positive along with two regular employees.

Gustilo earlier said that the two regular employees who tested positive will be subjected to a confirmatory test, and if they are found positive again it will be up to the Civil Service Commission to order their termination or rehabilitation. | GB
