The first-ever traslacion of the Black Nazarene in Bacolod City will be held tomorrow, Jan. 9, preceded by a vigil mass at the San Sebastian Cathedral at 5 o’clock this afternoon, followed by the pahalik until 10 p.m.

The Traslacion from the San Sebastian Cathedral to the Sacred Heart Shrine and Seminary, and onward to the Queen of Peace Parish-Redemptorist, will start at 4 a.m. Thursday, with the concelebrated mass at 5:30 p.m., to be presided over by Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon.

“Let’s make the first Nazareno Fiesta in the Diocese of Bacolod a celebration to remember—holy, safe, and super-organized,” the Queen of Peace Parish, Redemptorist said in a post. “Follow the designated flow of the line, observe proper hygiene and safety protocols, avoid bringing sharp or dangerous items, maintain reverence and avoid loud conversations, and show our devotion with order and respect.”

The first replica of Jesus Nazareno arrived in Bacolod City Nov. 11, straight from Quiapo in Manila, and was enshrined at the Queen of Peace Parish Redemptorist Nov. 15.

The novena mass in honor of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno started Dec. 30 until Jan. 7, in line with the Feast of the Black Nazarene 2025. | CGC
