The Philippine College of Chest Physicians (PCCP) Negros Chapter celebrates the World No Tobacco Day to highlight its advocacy against the use of vape.
As part of its campaign against tobacco and vape smoking, the group will be posting information tarpaulins around Bacolod City, especially near hospitals and schools, to show support to the nationwide advocacy.
Dr. Ronel Sario, president of PCCP Negros Chapter, said the theme of the celebration, “Protecting the Children from Tobacco Industry Interference”, is very timely to their advocacy against the use of vape.
The celebration, he said in a press release, will last until the whole month of June.
Sario said they will also join the nationwide World No Tobacco Day celebration today, in collaboration with the Bacolod City Health Office, the Anti-Smoking Task Force, and other local medical societies.
The activity will start with a motorcade around Bacolod, starting from the Government Center at 9 a.m., followed by a program at the Cinema lobby of SM City Bacolod. ||
