What if? What now? – 2021 and onwards

As 2021 started on a crazy note in the  United States with the Capitol siege, what if the issue was not settled but exacerbated, with the “hard right” (the so-called “ultra-nationalist” Republicans) taking extra-legal, supra-legal measures to stop the left (the Democrats) from ever transitioning into power?  What if military-type take-over occurred, or martial law, or civil war?  Unlikely? The Capitol Hill “attack” was unlikely, and the Americans already had previous experience killing each other over the issue of slavery and state power.

What if the transmutated versions of the corona virus spread (God forbid!) by leaps and bounds (they say they are 70 percent more easily transmitted), and the vaccines are unable to slow them down?  What if the vaccines themselves develop problems on their own (side-effects, etc.) because they lacked the usual 4-5 year “time trial” or test before a vaccine can be more fully trustworthy?

And what if, in an effort to curb the new wave, or new surge, governments order vaccines to be mandatory (now it is voluntary, but you cannot fly without a certificate that you got it), and decree more lockdowns and border restrictions? And what if, as a result of lockdowns, and restrictions, and border checkpoints, and further limitations on individual liberties, there are more unemployed, and more people getting hungry, and they resort to survival mode, including lootings and break-ins?

And what if (God forbid!), hospitals are overwhelmed (because in some places they want to build coliseums for street dancing that they want to bring inside covered structures), and government resort to taking over hotels and inns to convert them to emergency hospitals?

And what if (God forbid!), there is more flooding, because drainage projects are inadequate, public work projects are sub-standard because they have to give “to the boys”, and because developers kill creeks and waterways to make room for subdivisions, and because we balded the mountains with greed and never cared to restore the trees?

And what if, under a new American administration, the LGBTQ++ agenda becomes more aggressive, and boldly pushes for SOGIE-related legislation, including “civil unions” for gay lovers, and the Church is silent?

And what if, “on the side”, there are earthquakes, and super-typhoons, and… what if?

Well, we do not wish to be morbid and bizarre. We are supposed to be optimistic (I do not want to use the word “positive” because it has become a bad word in 2020) except that things have been prophesied, and world events seem to follow a script, a playbook, leading to the “what if” scenario.

In the Bible, they call these “the end-times”, a subject matter not so popular, even disdained, even with many Christians not even wanting to discuss it, because the topics we like to hear are prosperity, healing, blessings, restoration, without righteousness, holiness, and alignment with God.

Take this SOGIE thing for example. You have heterosexual, homosexual, bi-sexual, pan-sexual. You have the right to declare yourself any of this at any given time without court order and demand to be respected in any way that you choose along any of these “sexual orientations” you choose, like demanding that you be allowed in a female toilet even if you have a man’s instrument between your legs. And even when God said, in the beginning, He created people to be “male and female”.

So the “what if” is not far-fetched. Jesus said, “Just like in the days of Noah, people were eating, and drinking, and marrying, and they did not know that what would happen, until the flood came and took them all away…” (please read Matthew 24, and 25…).

We hope the “what if” scenarios or their consequences would not come our way, because there really is a way to avoid them. Return to God, repent, go back to His way, His will. Embrace His Lordship. Do not be corrupt (what is so “halumdumon” with that tower? The old clock was more iconic, and if that was enhanced or repaired)…

But people refuse to be taught. People will not give up SOGIE.  Politicians will continue to buy votes.  And people will continue to sell their votes.  Pornography is just so irresistible. And even when God said it is abomination for man and man to sleep together, you have the highest religious leaders saying it is alright for them to go into civil unions. The world has gone rebellious. Even the Church.

So in the Book of Revelation, the first wave will be the release of the horses of the apocalypse (war, civil disorder, hunger, famine, plague, pestilence, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc. on a global scale).  There are remedies. Solutions. Ways of escape.

But people do not care to go to the Word to learn what these remedies are. Only a few are interested in Bible studies.

So, what will come, will come, and we can only pray that people will return to God, before the “what if” becomes “what now?” – NWI
