Vallacar Transit Incorporated, operator of Ceres Bus Liner, donated 100 oximeter and 100 blood pressure apparatus to the Bacolod City Emergency Operation Center.

The medical equipment will be used by the EOC as it intensifies the campaign for COVID-19 vaccination all over the city.

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, 4th from left, receives the donation from Vallacar Transit, Incorporated.

The pulse oximeter measures the oxygen saturation level, or the oxygen levels in the blood, while the BP apparatus will be used to determine the blood pressure of those who will be vaccinated.

VTI Media Relations Officer Jade Seballos said the donation is part of the company’s community responsibility. It is also a way of supporting the campaign of the government to encourage people to get vaccinated.

Bacolod City Mayor Bing Leonardia received the donation from the VTI during the ceremonial turnover at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central, one of the 24 vaccination centers identified by the city.

The ongoing vaccination at the 24 venues aims to accommodate the remaining frontline healthcare workers (A1), senior citizens (A2), and persons with comorbidities (A3).

The schedule of vaccination is on a first-come, first-served basis. – MML
