Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan will visit Bacolod City and Negros Occidental on November 5.

The two, who are running in tandem as president and vice presidential candidates in the May 2022 elections, will meet with sectoral leaders and hold consultations, former governor Rafael Coscolluela, Negros for Leni movement convenor, said.

It will be a full schedule for Leni and Kiko, he added.

Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo, left, and Senator Francis Pangilinan are scheduled to visit Negros Occidental on November 5.

Coscolluela said the consultations and meet-and-greet sessions will be limited to about 300 attendees to ensure compliance with minimum health protocols. The venue will be announced later.

VP Leni might also meet with religious leaders and visit the Carmelite Monastery in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod, a place she frequents every time she is in the City.

The standard bearer of the broad political coalition, Isambayan, is also expected to attend the blessing and inauguration of the Leni-Kiko Negros campaign headquarters along Hernaez Street, across the Negros CyberCentre.

She will hold a press conference before meeting the representatives of various sectors, including women, professionals, labor, farmers, fisherfolk, senior citizens, LGBTQIA, youth, academic community, agrarian reform beneficiaries, the urban poor, and market vendors, among others.

Coscolluela said VP Leni will also attend the “Lugaw Party” planned by members of the newly-formed Laban Leni Negros Occidental. The venue will be announced later.

Her visit will coincide with the al-Cinco de Noviembre commemoration of the Negrosanons’ uprising and triumph against the Spaniards. — MML
