A 33-year-old laborer died after he was accidentally electrocuted while setting up a water pump at a memorial park in Barangay 1, Kabankalan City Sept. 26.
The Kabankalan City Component Police Station said the victim, a resident of Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City, and his co-workers were preparing a grave at around 9:30 a.m. at Angel’s Memorial Park in Purok 3.
The victim was tasked with draining the accumulated water from the grave using a submersible pump. While setting up the equipment, the victim suffered an electric shock and was thrown into the water-filled grave, the police said.
Co-workers rushed him to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital but he was declared him dead on arrival by attending physicians. | TMD
