Victorias cops, traffic enforcers test negative for drug use

All the policemen and traffic enforcers in Victorias City, Negros Occidental have been tested negative for use of illegal drugs, a statement from the city government said.

A total of 82 policemen assigned at the Victorias City Police Station and 45 traffic enforcers underwent drug testing on Jan. 17 and Feb. 8, respectively, administered by the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory Office and the City Health Office.

This reflects the commitment and dedication of both the Victorias City Police Station and the city government under the leadership of Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez to promote a drug-free city and maintain integrity and public trust, the statement said.

The successful completion of drug tests reinforced the city’s law enforcement and traffic management teams, it added.
