The more than 1,000 regular and casual employees of the Victorias City government got additional bonuses of P40,000 each this December, Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez said Friday, Dec. 22.

The bonuses comprise the Service  Recognition Incentive (SRI), Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus, and the Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI).

This is the first time that the city government signed a CNA with its employees, and they received P15,000 each as a signing bonus, Benitez said.

He added that job order (JO) and contract of service workers will also receive a gratuity pay of P5,000 each before the year ends.

Benitez also announced that the daily rate of JO employees will be increased to P480 per day, starting January.

These adjustments in their daily wages are meant to help them with their daily needs that are affected by rising inflation, the mayor said. | GB
