Trinity-Davies Paint-El Tzino players lauded for qualifying in NBTC finals

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod has lauded the Trinity-Davies Paint-El Tzino basketball team for qualifying in the National Basketball Training Camp (NBTC) national finals after its top 4 finish in the recent NBTC Visayas Regional Championships.

The team will represent Bacolod City in the NBTC National Finals on March 18-24 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, despite losing to eventual champion Khalifa-University of San Jose Recoletos in the Visayas Regional Championships held Feb. 16-18 at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

The basketball team from Bacolod is headed by coach Ritche Militante and assistant coaches Lyndon Locsin, Glenn Demonteverde, and Rowel Gerzon, with players John Lloyd Martinez, James Roger Jaype, Aaron Veluz, Giovanni Semillano Jr., Shannon Gray Sealey, Seji Diatrix Mariveles, Gian Tulipas, Kenan Andrew Abella, Alexander Cesar Dingcong, Austin John Braganza, Agustin Braganza IV, Christian Beronio, Teod Christian Poblacion, Rey Frederick Uy, and Andrei Lance Mallen.

“The feat earned by these athletes gives pride and honor to Bacolod and serves as an inspiration to other young athletes in the city, which is worthy of emulation,” stressed the resolution of commendation authored by Councilor Em Ang, and approved by the SP Feb. 28. | CGC
