An alleged member of the Virtucio drug gang, who is ranked Top 2 in the anti-drug operation target of the San Carlos City Police Station, was arrested Feb. 27 in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 2 of the city.
Jerome Villanueva, 32, was nabbed at his place at Margarita Village in the barangay with several sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about five grams and worth P34,000, a disposable lighter, an aluminum foil, and P1,200 in buy-bust money.
The operation was led by operatives of the San Carlos City Police Station, led by P/Lt. Rodney Sarona, operations officer, under the direct supervision of P/Lt Col. Jesus Mesahon Jr.
Villanueva is detained at the custodial facility of the police station and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | MML
