The holiday spirit takes on new enchantment as SM City Bacolod joins the region-wide theme of SM Supermalls in the Visayas, “Unwrapping Magical Christmas Tales”. With joy and delight, the mall proudly unveiled its own unique story: “Unwrapping Sweet Surprises”, during a dazzling launch event at the north wing’s Main Atrium Oct. 26, 2025.
Leading the festivities, Governor Bong Lacson and mall manager Julia Javellana officially lit the mall’s magnificent 50-foot Christmas tree, a majestic centerpiece towering over a pastel dreamscape filled with shimmering gold ribbons, softly glowing pastel ornaments, and a radiant golden star atop.
Surrounding the tree is a whimsical sweet-shop display featuring giant cupcakes, layered macaron cakes, stacked pastel macarons, and delicate pastel decor drifting down onto white trees that illuminate in response.
Pastel nutcracker guardians stand watch, framing a pink Santa chair and making this festive setup a picture-perfect backdrop for families and friends throughout the season.
The celebration continues with a calendar filled with sweet, magical moments. The Sweet Holiday Bazaar runs from Oct. 26, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026 at the Main Atrium, offering delightful finds and treats for holiday shoppers.
Every weekend of November and December, giant, huggable mascots roam the mall for fun photo ops, while families can enjoy the Santa Meet & Greet every Sunday, from Nov. 9 to Dec. 21.
Storytime comes alive through Christmas Stories by the Tree with the Pastel Dream Ladies, Lady Madeline and Lady Éclair, every Sunday of Dec. at 4 p.m. Mallgoers can also meet the SM Holi Squad every Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m. throughout November and December.
Other highlights include the World Choral Day on Dec. 8 at 4 p.m., Christmas Desserts Decorating where the Pastel Dream Ladies will have creative workshops of deliciously dreamy sugar cookies to ginger bread houses, every Saturday from Nov. 8 to Dec. 20 at 4 p.m.
The Christmas Parade on Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. will also be a holiday spectacle to behold.
From every angle, the Main Atrium transforms into a pastel wonderland and a festive photo spot, inviting mallgoers to immerse themselves in a Christmas story filled with magic, sweetness, and cheer.
Whether to shop, dine, meet Santa, or simply capture the moment, SM City Bacolod welcomes everyone to celebrate the holidays in true Bacolod style.
Adding a heartwarming touch to the season is SM Cares’ Besties of Joy: A Gift That Gives Twice. Evolving from Bears of Joy, each Besties set features two soft, cuddly bunny plushies—one for the giver and one donated to a child in need—spreading comfort, love, and friendship to more families this Christmas.
