The Victorias City government will hold the 26th Kadalag-an Festival on March 14 to 24 at a new site – the Sidlak Victorias Global City.
In a press briefing Monday, Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez said he wants to introduce the Sidlak Victorias Global City area to Victoriahanons and tourists.
The Kadalag-an Festival was previously held at the Victorias City plaza.
Benitez said that the transfer of site is aimed at avoiding traffic congestion at the city proper, which has been the subject of complaints in the previous years.
“Everything will be in the new site. The carnival, kiosks will be there. Preparations for site development and staging area is ongoing,” he added.
From March 14 to 17, there will be pre-Kadalag-an sports activities such as boxing, beach volleyball, “Palumba para sa Kadalag-an,” basketball, e-sports, drag race, airsoft and skateboard competition.
The highlights will be held on March 21 to 24, where celebrities, artists, bands will be invited, the mayor said.
March 21 is the Charter Day of Victorias City. | GB
