The Securities and Exchange Commission said Feb. 19 that all corporations, whose fiscal years ended on Dec. 31, 2023, shall file their audited financial statements (AFS) through eFAST, in accordance with schedules, depending on the last numerical digit of their SEC registration or license numbers.

For corporations ending in digits 1 and 2, AFS submission is from April 29 to May 10; for ending digits 3 and 4, May 13 to 24; for 5 and 6, May 27 to June 7; for 7 and 8, June 10 to 21; while those ending in digits 9 and 0 should be submitted starting June 24 to July 5, the SEC Bacolod said.

Those whose fiscal years ended on a date other than Dec. 31, 2023 shall file their AFS within 120 calendar days from the end of their respective fiscal years, it added.

The filing deadline also covers the corporation’s branch offices, representative offices, regional headquarters, and regional operating headquarters of foreign corporations.

The SEC Bacolod Extension Office, through its director, Atty. Annabelle Corral-Respall, is encouraging corporations to file their reportorial requirements on time to avoid penalties due to non-filing or late filing.

“All annual reports shall be submitted online through the SEC Electronic Filing and Submission Tool (eFAST) at efast.sec.gov.ph. No hard copies shall be required,” the SEC advisory said.

But reports not yet accepted through eFAST should be emailed at ictdsubmission@sec.gov.ph as no over-the-counter and courier submission shall be allowed.
