Robotics team from Cadiz wins in contest in Vietnam

Cadiz City celebrated a proud moment as DVF Maraynon Robotics Team 1 secured the fourth place out of 50 teams in the Senior High School category, and both teams 1 and 2 received the Prospect/Newcomer Award during the prestigious World Robot Contest 2025 held in Vietnam June 28-29.

The team consisted of outstanding students Charlisle Alob, Joseph Anthony Dela Cruz, Ianne Theodore Pastera, and Justin Kyle Sorilla, under the guidance of coaches Jovel Oberio and Raymond Lechago, and with the valuable support of the LGU DICT focal person Adlai Mert Bolonia, the city said in a press release.

The two teams not only brought pride to the Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School but also represented the City of Cadiz and the Philippines to this international stage, showcasing the brilliance, innovation, and rising talent of young Cadiznons in the global robotics arena, the city added. ||
