Negros Occidental Third District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez was among the 32 political personalities who recently joined the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Others who are now members of the PFP include Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., who served as Marcos’s campaign manager during the 2022 presidential elections, as well as Leyte Fourth District Rep. Richard Gomez and his wife, Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez.

The latest batch of party members took their oath before the President on Nov. 10 at Malacañang, according to the post of the Presidential Communications Office.

Established in 2018, the PFP is pushing for a federal form of government and was one of the members of the UniTeam Alliance of Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte.

Marcos is the national chairman of the PFP, which was his political party during the 2022 elections.

The President said that all political parties can join the PFP despite their “color.”

He added that the PFP is ready to accept new members, who are willing to help the government and promote the policies of the administration. | GB
