This activity highlights the strict adherence to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and public trust, a statement from PRO-NIR Public Information Office said.

It also forms part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) ongoing internal cleansing program aimed at ensuring a drug-free workplace and upholding the integrity and professionalism of its members.

Police officers who will be found positive for drug use will face immediate relief from their posts, pending investigation.

Their urine samples will then be subjected to confirmatory testing.

If the second drug test gives the same results, the PNP said concerned officers will be dismissed from service. | GB
