PRO-6 nabs 499 wanted persons in WV in April

The Police Regional Office-6 reported the arrest of 499 wanted persons all over Western Visayas in April as part of the relentless efforts to hold these individuals accountable for their crimes.

Of the number, 74 were tagged as most wanted persons (MWPs) while 425 were classified as other wanted persons (OWPs).

For MWPs, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) have the highest number of arrests with 14 each; followed by Capiz PPO, 13; Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO),  nine; Aklan PPO, Antique PPO and Bacolod City Police Office, seven  each;  Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Regional Field Unit-6 (CIDG-RFU6), two; and Regional Mobile Force Battalion-6 (RMFB6), one.

Among the OWPs, Negros Occidental PPO has the highest number of arrests with 191; Iloilo PPO, 66; ICPO, 37; Antique and Capiz, 27 each; Bacolod,  24; Guimaras and Aklan, 23; RMFB6, six; and CIDG-RFU6, one.

In a statement, PBrig. Gen Jack Wanky, police regional director of Western Visayas, commended all the police units for their commitment in the campaign against wanted persons. | GB
