A 28-year-old policeman was declared dead on arrival at a hospital after he figured in a road crash along the national highway of Barangay Tabunan, Bago City, Negros Occidental early morning on Saturday.
The fatality, who has a rank of patrolman, is a member of the 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company assigned at the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region headquarters at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City,
Around 4:05 a.m., he was on his way to Barangay Tabunan when his motorcycle hit the rear part of a cargo truck, traversing the same direction.
The police officer succumbed to serious injuries, according to the Bago City police.
The driver of the cargo truck continued driving, the police report said. | GB
