A total of 238 wanted persons have been arrested by the police in Negros Occidental in a month-long campaign in August, according to the report of Police Regional Office-6.
Of the arrested fugitives, 25 were classified as most wanted persons while 213 as other wanted persons.
Most wanted persons are those facing heinous cases while other wanted persons are involved in minor cases.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) accounted for 199 wanted persons, the highest in Western Visayas, while the Bacolod City Police Office netted 39 wanted persons.
All over the region, the police arrested 468 wanted persons.
