The Provincial Legal Office has submitted its investigation report to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, in connection with the grave misconduct complaints filed against five personnel of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Alberto Nellas said that the PLO investigation report will be deliberated by him and Lacson, who will either approve it, or not.

The OPA employees, including a division head, are subjects of a complaint for allegedly having a drinking session while on official travel in Victorias City, last month.

They were issued with show-cause orders by the PLO, for them to explain their side.

The complainant-driver, who went to Victorias with the respondents, claimed that he waited for them until 8 p.m. and was later informed that the OPA employees were having a drinking spree at a restaurant.

The OPA Division head allegedly uttered uncalled for remarks at the driver, when the latter told them that he had been waiting for them for hours.

Nellas said the deliberations will focus on whether there is a need to conduct an administrative hearing, file formal charges, or impose preventive suspension against the five respondents.

Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez also ordered an investigation on the employee of the Office of the City Agriculturist, allegedly for inviting the five OPA employees to a drinking spree./GB
