Tropical Depression “Pepito”, estimated at 845 kms east of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of 45 kms per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kms per hour, is moving west northwest at 20 kms per hour, the 3 a.m. PAGASA-DOST advisory says.
The northeasterly surface windflow of TD “Pepito” affects Northern and Central Luzon areas.
Visayas, including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City, will have cloudy skies with scattered isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to trough brought by the tropical depression, the PAGASA-DOST forecast said.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Visayas, including Negros Island.
Coastal waters will be slight to moderate seas with estimated height at 0.6 m to 2.1 m.
