A total of 191 Bagonhon beneficiaries received their wages under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program of the Department of Labor and Employment, held at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center Jan. 13.
The beneficiaries, who are from barangays Binubuhan, Ilijan, Mailum, Malingin, Don Jorge Araneta, and Atipuluan, are the last batch of TUPAD beneficiaries for 2024.
Each beneficiary received P4,800 from the funds of DOLE-Western Visayas, under regional director Sixto Rodriguez.

They worked for 10 days, from Dec. 4-16, performing tasks like cleaning of roads and community gardening.
Mayor Nicholas Yulo expressed his admiration for the diligence shown by the beneficiaries, and hoped that the amount they received will help their families, the city said.
He also thanked the residents for their cooperation with the local government during his nine years of service as mayor.
He urged them to continue working together for the progress of their respective communities.
Also present at the distribution were DOLE-TUPAD coordinator Erika Cadiao, LEDIPO/TLDC and City Cooperative head Judee Lynn Lirazan, newly-designated PESO-Bago manager Allan Seneres, and Atipuluan barangay captain Elvira Zulueta. ||
