Palanca medical building at BAMC inaugurated

The Simplicio A. Palanca Medical Arts Building was blessed and inaugurated during the 55th founding anniversary celebration of the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center today, Dec. 8.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia was guest of honor at the event and in his congratulatory message, acknowledged the contributions of the late Atty. Simplicio Palanca that helped shape Bacolod to what it is now.

“Atty. Palanca is larger than life and this is the manifestation of his person. We salute him. He is a man worthy to be immortalized,” he added.

Joining Leonardia during the ribbon-cutting ceremony were BAMC president Rufo Gasapo, Emergency Operations Center executive director Em Ang, Rolando Corona Jr. – grandnephew of Palanca, and Willy Au.

Also present at the event are Palanca representative Josephine Alojado, Finance and Support Services vice president Bill Ray Ragudo, Negros Occidental Conference president pastor Renito Inapan, HRMD director Guenivere Gail Alipo-on, ABC president Lady Gles Pallen, and City Legal Officer Joselito Bayatan, a press release from the city said.

Adventist International Health Systems Philippines Inc. CEO Roy Perez, Scheer Memorial Adventist Hospital CEO Dr. Hector Gayares Jr., and Adventist Healthcare Services director Jo Ann Amparo, among others, joined the event via zoom. — NND
