The Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) in Negros Occidental has requested Gov.  Eugenio Jose Lacson for the release of Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for the provincial government employees.

In his letter to Lacson, a copy of which was furnished to Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II, PACE president Ruben Diamante said that the PBB is a valuable incentive that recognizes the hard work and dedication of government employees, and an important tool for motivating them to achieve high levels of performance.

Diamante also noted that Capitol employees have consistently demonstrated a high level of commitment and dedication to their work throughout the year.

Citing Memorandum Circular No. 2023 -1 dated Aug. 22, 2023, he said the granting of the PBB now has legal basis.

Diamante said the awarding of the Seal of Good Local Governance of the Department of the Interior and Local Government to the Negros Occidental provincial government was among the requirements for the release of the bonus.

The PBB is equivalent to 60 percent of regular and casual employees’ salaries.

“We leave it to the wisdom of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson when he will release it,” he added. | GB
