A 47-year-old father reportedly under the influence of liquor stabbed his 20-year-old son following a heated argument over a missing chicken from their refrigerator in Brgy. Tuyom, Cauayan, Negros Occidental July 6.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Harold”, reportedly threw a kitchen knife at his son, alias “Ahlecci”, and hit him in the chest while the latter was stepping outside to avoid further confrontation, the police said.
The victim was rushed to Lorenzo Zayco Memorial District Hospital for medical evaluation and is in stable condition.
The father voluntarily surrendered to the Cauayan Municipal Police Station, and criminal charges are being readied against him, the police added. | TMD
