P408K in ‘shabu’, guns seized in drug-bust ops

Police arrested three persons, including a high-value individual (HVI), and seized over P408,000 worth of suspected shabu, along with four firearms, during a buy-bust operation in Zone 1, Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City Aug. 25.

Police identified the suspects as “Kharlo”, 34, an HVI; and “Rendon”, 31, and “Baldwin”, 32, both tagged as street-level individuals (SLIs).

Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) conducted the operation at around 3:50 p.m. after a police poseur-buyer purchased a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from the suspects.

The operation yielded approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu packed in 22 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, including the buy-bust item, and the P1,000 buy-bust money and other non-drug items.

Police also confiscated a .45 caliber pistol loaded with seven live rounds, three .38 caliber revolvers with one loaded with four live rounds, and an extra .45 caliber magazine loaded with seven live rounds, at the scene.

The suspects and the confiscated items were turned over to Police Station 10 for documentation.

The seized illegal drugs and firearms will be forwarded to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory and ballistics examination. | TMD
