P3.4M in shabu seized

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated around half a kilo of suspected shabu, with a street market value of P3.4 million, from a drug suspect in Brgy. 10, Bacolod City Feb. 4.

The joint buy-bust operation of PDEA and members of the Bacolod Police led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Noel Palacios, of Purok Boulevard in Brgy. 3, Bacolod.

Six other drug suspects were also separately apprehended by the police in a series of buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental, that yielded about P40,000 worth of suspected shabu, Feb. 4.

The police nabbed Paul Bacolod in Pontevedra, Crisanto Quijano in Talisay City, Mark Salvador Aresgado in Cadiz City, and Conrad Mijares in La Castellana.

Two other drug suspects, identified as Eric Narciso and Adrian Tingson, are now detained in jail following their arrest Feb. 3 in Sagay City and Binalbagan, respectively.

The apprehension of Narciso yielded 0.9 gram of suspected shabu, with a market value of P6,120, while two grams of suspected shabu, worth P13,600, and P500 in marked money were recovered by the police during the arrest of Tingson./GB
