Officials and employees of the municipality of Ilog in Negros Occidental, as well as residents, can now benefit from a more efficient government service delivery with the completion of the two-storey municipal hall, worth P19.5 million.

Built by the DPWH Negros Occidental 3rd District Engineering Office, the project spans 367 square meters and houses a modern conference room, well-equipped comfort rooms with complete accessories, including a water pump system, air-conditioning units, and a comprehensive fire alarm system, complete with extinguishers.

The project also includes the installation of high-quality lighting fixtures, lamps, and meticulous electrical, and painting works.

DPWH Region 6 director Sanny Boy Oropel said the structure offers convenient access to government services in a comfortable and inviting environment.

“This building is a leap into the future for public service in Ilog,” Oropel said in a statement June 8. “By providing our government officials and employees with a space that is both spacious and modern, we are fostering a healthier, more optimized workplace.”

This, in turn, enhances the services provided to citizens, making every transaction smoother and more accessible, he stressed.

District engineer Rodney Gustilo said the building promises to be a cornerstone of community development, empowering both the people and the government officials, who serve them.

The residents of Ilog can look forward to enjoying the benefits of this modern, multi-purpose municipal hall in their daily interactions with their local government, the DPWH added. ||
