A high-value drug target was arrested with P14,110,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 3, Bacolod City, July 5.
Operatives of the Bacolod Police City Drug Enforcement Unit seized more than two kilograms of the illegal substance from alias “Waway”, 25, an unemployed resident of Barangay 1.
They also recovered 21 large knot-tied plastic bags and four additional sachets containing the suspected shabu, totaling approximately 2,075 grams.
“Waway” is in the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council watchlist, police said.
The police arrested the suspect after he sold a heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu for P6,000, at around 9:50 p.m. in Purok Kamunsil in the barangay.
The suspect is under the custody of the BCPO Station 2 and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | TMD
