More than P1 million worth of suspected shabu were seized by the police from six drug suspects, who were separately arrested in Negros Occidental on Sept. 11 and 12.

The Bacolod City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit reported the arrest of Stephen Frias at Purok Pablo Torre during a buy-bust in Barangay Vista Alegre early Thursday morning.

The operation yielded about 135 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P918,000.

The arrest of five other drug suspects in the municipalities of Ilog, Murcia and Pontevedra as well as the cities of Silay and Kabankalan yielded about 20 grams of suspected shabu valued at P139,400.

All the six arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail, pending the filing of charges against them for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

On Sept. 10, the Police Station 2 in Bacolod City also seized about 352 grams of suspected shabu worth P353,600 from an arrested drug suspect in Barangay 3. | GB
