Operatives seize P692K in shabu in Bacong raid

Around 101.9 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P692,920, were confiscated by authorities from a man in an early morning raid in Bacong, Negros Oriental, Aug. 25.

Operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the Bacong Municipal Police Station enforced a search warrant that resulted in the immediate arrest of a drug suspect, and the seizure of illegal drugs and non-drug items, including a digital weighing scale, cellular phones, and cash proceeds.

The arrested individual faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Through sustained enforcement efforts, intelligence-based operations, and strong collaboration with partner-agencies, the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office said in a statement that it “remains steadfast in safeguarding communities, upholding the rule of law, and protecting the public from the harmful effects of illegal drugs. | TMD
