One-time cash incentive to elderly in San Carlos

Senior citizens aged 80 to 100 years old in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, will receive a one-time cash incentive, as per Executive Order 447 of Mayor Renato Gustilo.

Under the EO signed Oct. 30 but made public this afternoon, Nov. 15, senior citizens 80 to 84 years old shall receive P5,000; those 85 to 89 years old, also P5,000; those 90 to 94 years old, P20,000, and the privilege of receiving additional cash incentives prescribed for ages 80 to 84 and 85 to 89, or a total of P30,000;

Senior citizens aged 95 to 99 years old shall receive P30,000, and the privilege of receiving additional cash incentives prescribed for ages 80 to 84, 85 to 89, and 90 to 94, or a total of 60,000; while centenarians shall get P40,000, and the privilege of receiving additional cash incentives of P60,000, as prescribed for ages 80 to 84, 85 to 89, 90 to 94, and 95 to 99, for a total of P100,000.

Gustilo’s EO implements the rules and regulations of Ordinance 22-05, series of 2022, which grants a one-time cash incentive to senior citizens in San Carlos 80 to 100 years old.

If a recipient could not personally receive the incentive due to exceptional circumstances, if bedridden, or is confined in the hospital, the awarding/distribution committee shall visit the place of residence or the hospital where the senior citizen is, to turn over the cash incentive or reward, the EO states.

Documentary requirements needed for a senior citizen to receive the incentive include a birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority or the Local Civil Registrar, or a copy of a baptismal certificate; marriage contract issued by the PSA, if applicable; voter’s certification, or a barangay residency certificate proving residency for a minimum of three years prior to the claim, or an affidavit signed by at least two disinterested persons; and a senior citizen’s ID issued by the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs Office (OSCA) indicating the year of birth. | CGC
