The Riverside Medical Center Inc. (RMCI) in Bacolod City held the blessing and inauguration of its newly-established one-stop-shop of services, and the innovative ambulatory surgical clinic (ASC) Feb. 5.

Located where the old hospital lobby used to be, the one-stop shop (OSS) centralized RMCI departments, like admitting, billing, claims processing, cashier, HMO, social welfare assistance, and information center.

Aside from streamlining administrative and financial services, the OSS also provides easy access to clinical departments, such as the reproductive health unit, imaging sciences department, non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, and the laboratory.

The Riverside Medical Center Inc. held the blessing and inauguration of its newly-established one-stop-shop of services and the innovative ambulatory surgical clinic Feb. 5, attended by RMCI executives, led by president and CEO Genesis Goldi Golingan and Dr. Ma. Antonia Gensoli, VP-chief medical officer, Mayor Alfredo Benitez, Rep. Greg Gasataya, Councilor Renecito Novero, BacCHP focal person Mae Cuaycong, retired DOH undersecretary Eric Tayag, and hospital staff and personnel, among others. | CGC photos

This ensures that patients receive comprehensive care in one location, reducing waiting time.

“What was once a simple hospital lobby has now been transformed into a comprehensive hub,” RMCI president and CEO Genesis Goldi Golingan said at the inauguration, adding the OSS “brings together key services under one roof to ensure faster, more convenient hospital visits.”

He added that the ASC is designed for safe, efficient, and cost-effective surgical care outside the traditional hospital setting. This clinic will improve access to essential procedures, reduce surgical waiting time, and enhance patient recovery in a comfortable setting.

“We understand that visiting a hospital can be overwhelming, and we are dedicated to making your experience as smooth and stress-free as possible,” Golingan said. “By centralizing these services, we reduce waiting times, simplify processes, and create a more patient-friendly environment.”

Dr. Ma. Antonia Gensoli, RMCI vice president and chief medical officer, also said the OSS provided spaces for the different government offices offering financial support to patients, like the Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program, PCSO, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and other Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) program proponents.

“We continue to renovate, innovate, and improve our facilities and services to meet the health demands and easy processing for our clients,” Gensoli said at the ceremony also attended by Mayor Alfredo Benitez, Rep. Greg Gasataya, Councilor Renecito Novero, BacCHP focal person Mae Cuaycong, retired DOH undersecretary Eric Tayag, and hospital staff and personnel, among others.

“As Bacolod’s premier healthcare institution, our mission has always been more than just treating illnesses—it’s about providing seamless, patient-centered care,” Golingan stressed. | CGC
