The prices of petroleum products will go down this week, the first rollback for gasoline and kerosene, and the second for diesel this month.

Oil companies estimated that diesel could go down by P0.60 to P0.70 per liter, gasoline by P1.40 to P1.50 per liter, and kerosene by P.20 to P.50 per liter.

The exact price adjustments will be known today, April 24, with movements regularly implemented every Tuesday.

Oil companies estimated that diesel could go down by P0.60 to P0.70 per liter, gasoline by P1.40 to P1.50 per liter, and kerosene by P.20 to P.50 per liter effective April 25.

On April 18, oil companies also implemented a per liter decrease of P0.40 on the price of diesel, and hiked gasoline and kerosene by P0.30 and P0.10, respectively.

“The week’s increase in oil prices was largely driven by cooling US inflation data, a weaker dollar, and stronger-than-expected China trade data,” the Department of Energy Oil Monitor said.

The recent adjustments resulted in a net decrease for diesel at P2.35/liter and kerosene at P3.35/liter, and a net increase of P8.95/liter for gasoline, since the start of this year, the DOE added./CGC
