The New People’s Army (NPA) Roselyn Jean Pelle Command, which has been categorized by the Philippine Army as a dismantled rebel guerilla front in northern Negros, has claimed the death of a former comrade, who later became a member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU).

In a statement, Ka Cecil Estrella said that the victim, Eduardo Continedo Baynosa Sr., is a “traitor” of the revolutionary movement, who is also linked to illegal activities.

Baynosa was killed last month in Sitio Quary, Barangay Poblacion in Toboso town.

Estrella further accused Baynosa of having been an Army intelligence operative, aside from being a CAFGU member, citing the recovery of his identification card and mission order issued by the Philippine Army.

The Roselyn Jean Pelle Command has been declared as dismantled by the Philippine Army, since it has already at least 10 remaining members, who are now the subjects of the focused operations of the 79th Infantry Battalion in northern Negros. | GB
