Faculty members, staff, and dependents of the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural and Educational Association member-schools will have their chance to get vaccinated as NOPSSCEA is set to open its vaccination center this week.

NOPSSCEA president Mark Molina said they have discussed with Emergency Operations Center executive director Em Ang to open the vaccination center, either at STI-WNU campus or at the University of St. La Salle.

They expect to start the inoculation rollout on Wednesday.

Molina said almost 70 percent of NOPSSCEA member-school personnel have been vaccinated, and they are targeting the remaining 30 percent still hesitant or are busy in getting the vaccine.

There are also big schools that had more than 70 percent of their faculty and staff members vaccinated but their dependents have not been inoculated yet.

Molina, who is also the president of STI-WNU, said almost 70 percent of the school’s personnel and employees were vaccinated.

Molina said the opening of the NOPSSCEA vaccination center is their way of helping the city government of Bacolod in its ongoing inoculation program to achieve herd immunity faster. – MML
