Member-consumers of the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. will be paying P11.9965 per kilowatt-hour of electricity consumed, this billing month of March.

Noneco said there is a P1.4341/kWh decrease in its average residential rate this month, compared to the P13.4306/kWh rate in February.

It said the decrease was mainly due to the P2.7256/kWh reduction in the price of electricity in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), or from P8.4545 to P5.7289/kWh.

Noneco’s advisory followed decreases in rates also earlier announced by the Central Negros Electric Cooperative and Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative.

Ceneco said its residential rate for March decreased by P1.5577 per kilowatt-hour, and P2.1484/kWh for Noceco.

In February, Noneco rate increased by P1.0441/kWh, from the P12.3865/kWh residential rate on the first month of this year. | CGC
