Nine persons were arrested in separate police anti-drug operations conducted across Negros Occidental on Sept. 12, yielding P263,768 in estimated street value of suspected shabu.
The operations were conducted by police units in San Carlos City, La Carlota City, Escalante City, Talisay City, E.B. Magalona, Murcia, Hinigaran, and La Castellana.
Police arrested alias “Luciano,” 47, in Purok Wakwak, Barangay 5, San Carlos City.
Some 13.77 grams of suspected shabu valued at P93,636 were seized during the operation.
Three other drug suspects were arrested in Hacienda Salvacion, Barangay Ayungon, La Carlota City, with two grams of suspected shabu worth P13,600.
The arrest of a lone suspect in Barangay Zone 2, Talisay City led to the recovery of about five grams valued at P34,000.
About 12 grams of suspected shabu priced at P81,600 were also confiscated by the police from alias “Diether” in Barangay Gahit, E.B. Magalona.
Four other drug suspects were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Escalante City, Murcia, Hinigaran and La Castellana, yielding 10.4 grams of suspected shabu valued at P84,932. | GPB
