There are now 29 dengue related deaths in Negros Occidental, as of Oct. 29, the Provincial Health Office said.
Hinigaran topped the list of dengue related deaths with four, three each in Himamaylan City, Calatrava and Murcia, two each in Talisay, Sagay, Silay, and Isabela, and one each in Toboso, La Carlota City, Manapla, Victorias City, Pontevedra, Bago City, La Castellana, and EB Magalona, from Jan. 1 to Oct. 29, the PHO report added.

Majority of the dengue victims were aged one to 10 years old.
Dengue cases in Negros Occidental also rose from 486 to 4,478 cases, or an increase of 921.40 percent this year, compared to the same period in 2021.
Total attack rate of dengue in Negros Occidental is 189.25 cases per 100,000 population.
The PHO, however, noted a declining trend in dengue cases in the past several weeks in Negros Occidental.
La Carlota City remains with the highest number of cases at 392, while Pontevedra has the highest increase in percentage at 4,950 percent./GB
