Police served a warrant of arrest against the 4th most wanted person of Negros Oriental July 20, for six counts of qualified rape of a minor, at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility in Mabinay.

Jimalalud Municipal Police Station operatives executed the court-issued, non-bailable warrant against the accused, who remains under the BJMP custody for formal disposition.

Law enforcement officers apprised the suspect of his constitutional rights upon serving the warrant for the criminal charges involving the sexual assault of a minor.

The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office said the operation is part of its intensified campaign to hunt down wanted individuals and bring perpetrators of grave offenses to justice.

The arrest underscores NORPPO’s commitment to protecting vulnerable minors and enforcing justice throughout the province, it added. | TMD
