NegOcc Reg’l Football Association elects officers

Jose Miguel Valmayor of San Carlos City Negros FC and Rene Dofitas of Bacolod United FC were elected president and vice president, respectively, of the Negros Occidental Regional Football Association.

The election, held at the Panaad Stadium Media Room in Bacolod City on April 6, was witnessed by John Gutierrez, president of the Philippine Football Federation.

Valmayor, along with the other new officers, will serve for the next four years. He succeeds businessman Ricky Yanson.

Elected as general secretary was Augustine Rey Rivas of City of Kabankalan FC while Bea Cuadra Hilay (Scarborough FC) was chosen to represent the female sector.

Gutierrez congratulated the new officers as he lauded the association members for their cooperation to ensure the successful holding of the election.

He was accompanied by lawyer Homer Alinsug, who served as observer of the election proceedings.

Elected as board members are designates of the North Cluster (Sagay City FC, Don Bosco FC, and PCY FC); Central Cluster (Real Negrense FC, Ceres Negros FC, and One Negros FC); and South Cluster (Pontevedra FC and Himamaylan FC). | AVDC
